As part of the development of its hotel offer, Futuroscope wishes to offer visitors a new experience, through the creation of an unusual tourist village immersed in nature.
The project is designed to be eco-responsible, from conception to completion, using a maximum of biosourced, unprocessed materials.
The 120 lodges, built 100% from wood sourced from sustainable French forests, are manufactured by local companies in a temporary workshop located as close as possible to the site. Particular attention is paid to the reuse of off-cuts from cladding, which form the canopy of the Grand Lodge or clad the logistics islands.
Every effort is made to avoid transport and reduce the project’s carbon footprint.
Each lodge is designed as a telescope turned towards nature. Each has its own special view of the landscape.
The landscape, planted in micro-forests with over 35,000 seedlings, is the essential element of the project. This method, devised by botanist Miyawaki, ensures a reservoir of biodiversity that grows from the very first season and develops rapidly and autonomously over the medium and long term. With a large majority of local species to favor the surrounding fauna and avifauna, the plant species are also water-efficient and require no maintenance once well established.
Transported to a unique place, the promise to be refreshed is guaranteed!
