The objective of the extension of the Marseille Provence airport Terminal 1 facilities is to modernize, reorganize and extend the terminal in order to meet the growth in traffic at the airport.
The project is in the heart of the Terminal 1 facilities, between the historic Fernand Pouillon terminal (1961) and the Richard Rogers terminal (1989 – 1993).
The new terminal core links the halls and infrastructures, providing a unique experience for all users by optimizing the flow of departures and arrivals.
The strength of the project lies in the sharing of flows and functions and in the attention paid to the quality of the spaces: hierarchical volumes, legibility, careful architectural treatment and balance between public and reserved areas.
