The project is located in the 2nd district of Marseille, in the ZAC de la Joliette, created in 1997.
It sits at the corner of three streets and connects three very different fabrics:

The Fonds Régional d’Art Contemporain (FRAC), a «signal» building integrated in 2012, a Haussmannian sequence, a residential fabric delivered in 2015.
The project by its location on the margins of the public space, completes the volumetric writing of the 3 streets. He relies on the opposite to develop a volumetric and architectural style that echoes the immediate context.
The integration of the project into a provided urban fabric is ensured by the development of the writing of facades on the principle of mimicry.
In the same way that the volumes echo the buildings deployed in front, the composition of the facades is based on a grid resulting from the tessellation.
The project therefore proposes a gradual transition from one programme to another.

To be part of the Mediterranean cultural identity, everything is part of the expression of minerality and simplicity. Only one material is used, light raw concrete to reinforce the unity of the operation and the continuity of the facades.
The processing of the base continues the principle of progression, and evolves according to the different sequences.
The penthouses covered with sloping roofs are dressed in variegated clay of several colors echoing the roofs of Marseille.
